Silver Spring, MD

Place Visited: Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
Date: February 2018

Twice a year, the National Museum of Health and Medicine brings out specimens for people to draw. In February, it was hearts. I had a lovely time drawing an ostrich heart, then browsing the rest of the small museum. I like medical museums, but the facial reconstruction exhibit was one I just could not handle. Something about seeing pictures of people with their jaw blown off, well, no thank you.

Silver Spring, MD

Place Visited: Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
Date: August 2016

This was my very first DC Drink & Draw meetup, and my first time at Denizens Brewing Co. The beer and food were both quite good, but the company was even better. I love this crowd. There's often an informal theme, and this time was Thank You For Riding Metro (because of the crazy scheduling and closings that is SafeTrack). We each drew our own Metro car, then linked them all together on the wall. It was fantastic.

Havre de Grace (and Silver Spring), MD

Location: Havre de Grace and Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
Date Visited: March 2015

We spent the day hanging around Havre de Grace, especially the Concord Point Lighthouse and the nearby Maritime Museum and promenade. Ridiculously windy, but otherwise a very nice time. Unfortunately, we did not get to the visitor center before it closed for the day. Next time.
